The Future of Saga

We plan to get big. Really big. We plan to add new troops and spells, and have some really exciting ones already in the making. We are looking to hire on a new C++ programmer to help us continue expanding. We've already taken on three new hires in the last couple of weeks, made possible by Beta pre-sales booster income (thank you all pack-purchasers so far!). Beta's going great, lots of players, lots of pack sales.

We sure appreciate good bug reporting to the forums. Sometimes we can't get to them right away, especially since right now we're finishing up a round of server improvements. But we will get to them, and it saves us uber amounts of time to have them well documented. Sometimes they can be fixed in a matter of minutes if we have reproduction steps that work to reproduce the bug.

Saga really gets the wheels turning in people's heads. Saga isn't done yet. We can go ANYwhere with it, but unfortunately not EVERYwhere. So here's a chance to contribute. Go ahead and post a comment of a cool troop you'd like to see in the game. It might be months before we have them completed, but make a comment if you have a great idea.

See you in game. If you get trounced by a War nation, it might be me. :)

I suppose something I would LOVE to see is burrowing units. Basically above ground these units would have low DR but soon as they go under they would be immobile/ranged or mobile/melee. As you can already guess, being underground would give them a huge DR bonus.

Nature: Desert Tortoise
Magic: Wolf Spider
Light: Badgers
War: Sand Boa
Machine: Dwarven Tunnel Drill

These are all real burrowing things but I'm sure you could think of more. The size of the unit is up to you, i was thinking more of a single unit like behemoth/chersus. 20-22cp

Another interesting unit type would be a net thrower type unit. It would be a melee unit capable of bringing down air units. It's special ability would be to make air units in target radius or target air unit immobile for 15-30 seconds and attackable by melee units.

2 or 3 cp per unit would be good :)

A unit that would inhance play. Hmmmm. A humman builder's unit they could build towers and keeps and the higher lvl could faster.

I think a cool unit would be a Archangel for the light faction.

These units would have a giant burning two handed sword, and angelic wings.

What would make these units special would be the ability to fly/decend when they want..making them good for all situations.

Unfortunatly, the cost of 22 CP like the Daemon would only allow one per group, but they could still pack a punch.

Maybe some sort of passive ability while in the air/on the ground or somthing.

About burrowing units a Sand shark or sand worm (Beetlejuice!!) would be nice adittions.

But machine could use a elite force made up of four dwarfs encased in heavy mechanic armor and holding a heavy weapon like a minigun or such (somewhat like warhammer 40k on steam power)
